Wyler Incaflex Fluted Bezel ref. 1925/2 c.1960s
Wyler Incaflex Fluted Bezel ref. 1925/2 c.1960s
There’s watches that catch your eye with flair and then there’s watches that catch your eye with subtlety, and this one is certainly the latter. In a day in age where the poppin’ colors and huge size is the norm, there is just something about the simplicity of a minimalist watch that is far from boring.
Wyler nailed it with this ref. 1925/2 model. What boxes does it check for BOT?
Fluted bezel — Everyone loves a good fluted bezel timepiece. There’s a reason the datejust and oyster-style watches have been made in many flavors over the years. It adds an air of class that truly holds its own.
Minimalist dial — No markings, no numerals. Just 4 faceted indices that match the bezel as appropriately as any fluted bezel watch that I’ve handled.
Thin profile — Not only is this watch under 10mm from caseback to crystal, but the lugs actually drop lower to contour the wrist to perfection. Some of my favorite classy vintage watches employ this general design, and they wear like a dream. As a monocase/frontloader design, which Wyler is very well known for in a vast number of their models, you get a unique styling that reduces moisture penetration and issues stemming from degraded caseback gaskets.
ETA quality — Classic, highly dependable ETA 2354 (2370 family) performance with Wyler’s patented Incaflex, shock-resistant balance.
Here lies yet another timepiece that looks far better in-person, much less on the wrist, than photos and description can do justice. Well-preserved, looking nearly new in many aspects, this specimen is one you won’t see often at all — so don’t miss out if this is down your alley!

[All vintage watches are expected to function as described. However, due to age and generally unknown service history (unless otherwise stated), these watches may not keep time as accurately as new or quartz (battery) watches. This is completely normal and does not indicate that there is a major problem. Like your automobile, all mechanical watches will likely need to be serviced at some point in time. Please keep this in mind, as there is no guarantee regarding when these vintage watches may need standard maintenance. Every watch sold by Buying On Time is done so with the expectation that it is not currently in need of service or repair, unless noted. We guarantee that all watches sold are accurately described and in the stated condition when they leave our hands.]
