Wakmann Triple Date Calendar Chronograph ref. 71.1309.70 c.1970
Recent history has shown Valjoux 72-based calendar chronographs (and the like) continuing to gain steam in the watch collecting world. With day, date, and month indicators to go along with the chronograph function, they really do make for an even more practical, and complicated, timepiece.
This reverse panda triple date from Wakmann is one of several offerings they made on this platform, and has become well known by collectors. Powered by a Valjoux 730 motor and coming in at a sizable 37 bezel-less millimeters, this watch checks a lot of boxes all at once. Up to 12 hour recording with a full calendar display, it visually offers a lot without supplying largely useless clutter.
Running excellently and ready to be worn, this one brings the condition and collectibility to the table that make it a worthwhile piece in your box.

[All vintage watches are expected to function as described. However, due to age and generally unknown service history (unless otherwise stated), these watches may not keep time as accurately as new or quartz (battery) watches. This is completely normal and does not indicate that there is a major problem. Like your automobile, all mechanical watches will likely need to be serviced at some point in time. Please keep this in mind, as there is no guarantee regarding when these vintage watches may need standard maintenance. Every watch sold by Buying On Time is done so with the expectation that it is not currently in need of service or repair, unless noted. We guarantee that all watches sold are accurately described and in the stated condition when they leave our hands.]
