Paul Raynard 600ft. skin diver ref. 10571 c.1960's

$0.00

It’s always hard to beat a good skin diver.

Now throw in one that’s 36mm with an Explorer-esque dial plus date, and you’ve got a cool looking piece from the get go.

Paul Raynard was a private brand that existed through the 1960’s, apparently having Swiss brands private label their pieces and then importing them into the U.S. for sale. This particular model is a Baylor Watch Co. product, as seen on the movement and inside caseback.

So if you’re looking for that familiar style in a unique package, here’s an excellent running model for your consideration!

——————————————————————————

Case: Modest wear on the plated case, but not extensive. Not noticeable at all on the wrist unless very closely inspected.

Bezel: Great shape, only a few dings, but nice silver color and printing completely present.

Dial: Super condition dial. No flaws to speak of. Nice puffy, cream-colored lume on a glossy black dial. Aged (‘patina’) date wheel adds a nice look.

Hands: Very good shape with original, cream-colored lume.

Movement: Very good condition, running nice and strong.

Function - This watch is wound by hand. It is recommended to wind the crown 10-20 times to typically give a power reserve to last throughout the day. If you do fully wind the watch, stop when you begin to feel tightness in winding pressure.

[All vintage watches are expected to function as described. However, due to age and generally unknown service history (unless otherwise stated), these watches may not keep time as accurately as new or quartz (battery) watches. This is completely normal and does not indicate that there is a major problem. Like your automobile, all mechanical watches will likely need to be serviced at some point in time. Please keep this in mind, as there is no guarantee regarding when these vintage watches may need standard maintenance. Every watch sold by Buying On Time is done so with the expectation that it is not currently in need of service or repair, unless noted. We guarantee that all watches sold are accurately described and in the stated condition when they leave our hands.]
