Bulova Super Seville Day & Date c.1984
Bulova Super Seville Day & Date c.1984
There haven’t been a whole lot of ‘value’ models made in the Rolex “President” (Oyster Perpetual Day-Date) styling, but this is certainly worthy of being at the top of that list.
This example, with a movement production date of 1984, has a ton to offer for those who don’t care to approach the Rolex or even Tudor Day-Date price tags. Housing a short run ETA 2834-1 based motor inside, the Bulova 1373.11, and showing off extremely similar form to the Rolex, this watch packs as much bang for the buck as you’ll find in this niche model class.
The ‘blonde’ dial (as opposed to the black dial offerings) is as beautiful as they get, and indeed has quite the quality look and feel multiple price tags above it. Coming in at just over 36mm wide, sans screw down crown, and with a closely executed ‘President’-style signed bracelet, this one is certainly worth of a spot in the watch box of those who love the style without the huge price tag.

[All vintage watches are expected to function as described. However, due to age and generally unknown service history (unless otherwise stated), these watches may not keep time as accurately as new or quartz (battery) watches. This is completely normal and does not indicate that there is a major problem. Like your automobile, all mechanical watches will likely need to be serviced at some point in time.
