Bulova Oceanographer 'M' Snorkel 666ft. Automatic Diver c.1969

$0.00

Over the last few years, the Oceanographer ‘M’ has become quite popular among collectors who look for attractive Bulova Snorkel models—and for good reason. The beautiful color scheme and broad case shape of these models makes for one eye-catching piece.

Of the general “sector dial” category, this one does so with a ton of flair and classic styling—a lot of detail while still maintaining a fairly minimal look: sans numerals but with applied silver, reflective minute track. There really isn’t too much out there that comes very close to this unique, blue-dialed beauty.

Whether it’s the colors, the near 39mm case width, or the Snorkel stable it comes from, this one will continue to be a classic diver piece that remains fairly hard to acquire in any condition of value.

———————————————————————————

Bezel: Very good shape with nice bright red coloring and faded blue (now gray). Only one crack in the resin bezel insert near 12 o’oclock

Case: Good condition with light-to-medium wear on the case body and caseback; appears unpolished, as it still retains sharp edges.

Dial: Very good dial in overall nice shape. Original lume yellowing very nicely.

Hands: Good shape hands with matching lume.

Movement: Running strong and keeping good time.

This is completely normal and does not indicate that there is a major problem. Like your automobile, all mechanical watches will likely need to be serviced at some point in time. Please keep this in mind, as there is no guarantee regarding when these vintage watches may need standard maintenance. Every watch sold by Buying On Time is done so with the expectation that it is not currently in need of service or repair, unless noted.
