Caravelle 666ft Diver c.1975

$0.00

As the ‘70s moved along, the decade ushered in all sorts of styling. While the decade as a whole is probably better known for the big, blocky, “funky chunky” watches, there were a fair share of those that seemed to make subtle compromises with the more classically-styled pieces from the latter ‘60s and this 666ft. “Devil Diver” from Caravelle was one of them.

Broad baton hands + lollipop sweep seconds (with no lume loss), Pepsi-themed bezel — a dark navy blue was employed both on the indicator and the dial — and being modestly sized make this timepiece one of the more aesthetically pleasing among it’s circa 1975 peers.

The contrasts and colors of this piece contributes plenty of “pop”, along with what we believe is a nice amount of overall aging and wear. Tack on its original Caravelle-signed Kreisler Stelux and you’ve got one heck of an affordable, sporty vintage diver.

[All vintage watches are expected to function as described. However, due to age and generally unknown service history (unless otherwise stated), these watches may not keep time as accurately as new or quartz (battery) watches. This is completely normal and does not indicate that there is a major problem. Like your automobile, all mechanical watches will likely need to be serviced at some point in time. Please keep this in mind, as there is no guarantee regarding when these vintage watches may need standard maintenance. Every watch sold by Buying On Time is done so with the expectation that it is not currently in need of service or repair, unless noted. We guarantee that all watches sold are accurately described and in the stated condition when they leave our hands.]
