Bulova Snorkel 666ft. Super Compressor c.1963
Bulova Snorkel 666ft. Super Compressor c.1963
One of two Bulova “Super Compressors” made, this is the only 36mm variant the company produced. Like the other brands with these dual crown EPSA divers, like Benrus, Wittnauer, Hamilton, etc., this case size is the standard and wears wonderfully.
While others tended to have similar style dials and cross-hatched diver crowns, Bulova was one of the few who signed their crowns and had a uniquely designed face easily distinguishable from the rest.
Being that Bulova only made these models for 2-3 years, this is one of the more rare Bulova dive models that was produced. This particular example has dial & hand lume that has yellowed, giving it a unique and colorful look compared to some of the other examples you may find. It still retains much of its original beauty and would be an great candidate for someone’s Bulova or vintage collection.

[All vintage watches are expected to function as described. However, due to age and generally unknown service history (unless otherwise stated), these watches may not keep time as accurately as new or quartz (battery) watches. This is completely normal and does not indicate that there is a major problem. Like your automobile, all mechanical watches will likely need to be serviced at some point in time. Please keep this in mind, as there is no guarantee regarding when these vintage watches may need standard maintenance. Every watch sold by Buying On Time is done so with the expectation that it is not currently in need of service or repair, unless noted. We guarantee that all watches sold are accurately described and in the stated condition when they leave our hands.]
